Probus Primary School sits at the heart of the village so our friends and neighbours are very important to us! Together we make what the school is today, a vibrant, friendly, cohesive and successful educational establishment with our children excelling both within our walls and in the wider area - be it sports, arts or a community capacity.
Success is never achieved in isolation. Being part of the Aspire Multi-Academy Trust family since 1st September 2016 has secured Probus a future rich in collaboration, partnership and opportunity for every member of our school community. The Aspire MAT currently comprises 21 primary schools stretching from Carbis Bay in the west to Warbstow on the north coast.
In addition to our Aspire partner schools, we work closely with 9 other schools within our Roseland Cluster to share staff and academic resources, including our Parent Support Advisor, School Business Manager and sports development coach. We believe that by working closely with our neighbour schools, we can provide more opportunities for our pupils to develop the skills that they need to succeed in life. We often have collaborative, competitive sporting events, gifted and talented curriculum days, music tuition and arts projects.
Finally, Probus is also part of the Truro & Roseland Learning Community (TRLC) which brings together the three educational clusters in the area - Penair School and its primaries, The Roseland Academy and its primaries, Richard Lander School and its primaries; and the Truro Nursery School and Truro College. The TRLC is responsible for the Stay and Play sessions, run by Truro Nursery School,at our school each week and the Annual TRLC Learning Awards ceremony in Truro Cathedral.
