Birch Class Year 4

Mrs Bowen

Mrs Lingham

Teaching Assistant

Birch Class is our Year 4 class and is taught by Mrs Bowen with Mrs Lingham as our teaching assistant.
Our first half terms work is about what life would have been life in Ancient Greek times and comparing it to modern day Greece when we learn about European regions.
Children are expected to read at home at least 5 times a week as part of the home/school agreement. Reading records will be checked regularly and the number of weekly reads will be recorded.
Spellings will be introduced in school and sent home in the homework books. We spend at least a week looking at spellings and we develop the understanding of spellings patterns we are learning. Homework will be set on Fridays and will be due in on Tuesdays. Both spellings and homework will be set a homework book - it's really important it returns to school!
Children will have PE at least twice a week. Please make sure that school PE kit is in school every day.
Children have Wild Tribe every Monday afternoon and will need to bring in old clothes and a separate pair of shoes (wellies or walking boots are ideal) with them to change into.
Children will need a named water bottle, which they can keep on their tables.
